Catherine was inspired to pursue a career as a physician assistant after observing her first total knee replacement surgery during college. She completed her undergraduate degree in exercise science at the University of Cincinnati and earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at University of Toledo. While in school, Catherine helped to create and run a free women’s health clinic available to the Toledo community. Since graduation Catherine has worked as a family medicine practitioner for four years and worked in community mental health for one year. While in college Catherine competed in shot put, hammer and weight throw. She continues to volunteer coach at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
